Loved the range of activities, excellent $5 dinner, convenient free shuttle, great location near esplanade, helpful tour desk.
Can't fault the hotel in any way.

The bar downstairs offered different types of events. The celebrating of the earth hous was really nice.
The hotel was way too far from the town centre to walk. Also, that meant that a supermarket, cafes etc were far away. Also, the price is more expencive than for some hostels on the Esplanade, as we later found out. The hostel boasts a free evening meal. Unfortunately, the meal turned out to be a free SIDE in one of the pubs.

The most fantastic place to stay as a backpaker in Cairns. A great atmosphere and the shuttle bus brings you everywhere in Cairns every hour around the clock. To recommend!

We only spent the one night there. We arrived in cairns late in the evening, after 10pm and were picking up a touring campervan the next day.The room facilities were great value for money, the only thing that let it down was that the floor covering smelt like sweaty feet !!! In the morning there was only white bread and mmarmalade or vegimite, not in any way you could describe that as being a continental breakfast. But as said for value, TV, fridge, tea coffee and ensuite all for 40 AUD was great value.
Poor breakfast.

This hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices and attention to detail. The location on the outskirts of town provides a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. The staff is friendly and helpful, making sure all basic amenities are provided, including rooms with lockers for added security and good lighting. The breakfast with pancakes is a delicious treat at a fair price.
No complaints, everything was more than satisfactory.

Friendly atmosphere - the long term residents weren't cliquey like they can be in some places. Something on pretty much every evening in the bar, but a fairly relaxed atmosphere - not too noisy. Good tour desk. Really good value for a private room.
General cleanliness was good but bathroom blocks could probably do with being cleaned a bit more regularly. Wasnt an issue for us but hostel about a half hour walk from the centre - they put on a bus but it seemed to fill up quite often.

Nothing. Absolutley hated every minute of our stay in this backpackers. Dirty, extremely damp and smelly. Grubby, filthy kitchen and facitlities. Don't keep rules. Extremely poor service - the breakfast was not included - just a loaf of bread and vegemite placed on the counter. The reception failed to inform www. Booking. Com that we had cancelled our future return booking and we had to pay $70 no show fee. .
The smelly, damp and dirty room. Unclean facilities. No air- conditioning. Damp carpet in our room. Poorly maintained swimming pool. The promised breakfast - being in a luxury ensuite room- was non-existent one morning and a loaf of bread and vegemite and a teabag on the counter the next morning. The transit van was filthy. Very, very poor service - we cancelled our future return booking, being disappointed, but the staff failed to inform Booking. com. so we had to pay a no show fee of $70. Was definately not value for money - a total rip off.

The hotel is located on the outskirts, providing a quieter atmosphere. the leisure facilities were enjoyable, especially the pool and nearby hiking trails. the view from the room was stunning, overlooking the natural surroundings. the breakfast service was a convenient advantage, offering a variety of options.
The hotel lacked proper soundproofing, making it difficult to sleep in during early morning hours.
